Apple kicked off its yearly developer conference, the WWDC over the weekend. There were some interesting announcements, but perhaps the most interesting of them all was hidden in a press-release. What is that announcement? It’s that No Man’s Sky, Hello Games’ universe exploration game, is coming to iPad.
That’s a pretty massive reveal, but it got no time in the actual presentations at the conference, where it was only mentioned that No Man’s Sky was coming to Mac. But nope, there’s going to be an iPad version of it as well.
You’re likely going to need an iPad running an M1 chip – the latest generation of iPad Airs and iPad Pros, then. But it’s still impressive to see such a huge game making its way to mobile. Here’s a trailer for the latest console version of the game.
There were brief rumblings around the time that Apple Arcade launched that No Man’s Sky was going to be included in the service at some point, but that hasn’t come to pass. Still. it does look like we’re going to be getting a portable version of the game at some point in the not-too-distant future.
We will, of course, let you know as and when we hear more about the iPad version of No Man’s Sky. Heck, it could just be a typo in the press release, but that seems incredibly unlikely. Maybe we’ll get an iPhone version too, that’d be ace.
