Gameloft popped off a trailer today for an upcoming game entitled 9mm that looks like it's either going to be a grittier and more adult successor to Gangstar or a hardboiled, action flick-inspired third-person shooter in a similar vein to Max Payne.

Order & Chaos Online: First Impressions

The long-awaited release of Gameloft's "true real-time, full-3D MMORPG", Order & Chaos, has finally happened. Following its initial Canada-only launch on Tuesday, the game is now available in App Stores globally. I quickly snapped it up and a full review simply wouldn't be possible at this point. Therefore, I've put together my first impressions for all of you who are as skeptical as I was about this title. Keyword: was.

Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden In-Depth Review

Yes, if you're a longtime veteran of 3D Action RPGs you'll slip up and call Ayden's horse "Epona" a few times, but once you start taking in the excellently crafted vistas of Hy-err, Lasgalen, you won't find much to complain about. Sadly the free trial is a poor representation of the overall product; it shows off the battle system and story well enough, but the major draw here are the intricate dungeon puzzles that lie behind the full purchase price.

Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden will launch for free?!

Gameloft have just been in touch to let us know their latest title, action RPG Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden, will be galloping into the US App Store tomorrow, February the 3rd. It's being hyped as iOS' answer to Zelda and billed as "an amazing adventure set in a majestic world that will fascinate you for countless hours." Sounds good!

Shadow Guardian Review

Gameloft are best known for putting their own spin on big name console games and bringing them to iOS. The results are usually either hit or miss. Lately, though they've been on a roll, with one spectacular title after another. While Shadow Guardian caught everyone unawares given the fact it was released so soon after it was announced, the core concept of the game came as no surprise - it's basically Naughty Dog's Uncharted for iPhone...

In the last couple of days Gameloft unveiled trailers for two new titles they're readying for release on the App Store. The first shows the sixth installment of the long running Asphalt series in typically blistering action. While the second gives iPhone gamers their first tantalizing glimpse of an all new Uncharted/Tomb Raider style game entitled Shadow Guardian.

Beating Rockstar to the punch, Gameloft's fully 3D Grand Theft Auto-esque Gangstar: West Coast Hustle was undoubtedly one of the most ambitious titles yet attempted on iPhone when it dropped back in 2009. This eagerly anticipated sequel transplants the illicit action to the sun-kissed streets and swamps of Miami, throws plenty of shiny new toys into the sandbox, and drafts in one the key writers of HBO's The Wire to up the script's grittiness, but has it lost its edge?
