Between a redesign launch in January and the recent unveiling of our snazzy new logo (pictured), 2012 has already been a pretty massive year for us here at iFanzine! But we’re not going to stop there…
Today, Sean and I are absolutely delighted to be welcoming two very talented new writers aboard our little team. You know what this means, right? Exactly! — Our office Christmas parties are going to be a heck of a lot more exciting from here on out.
Oh, and from this point forward, we’ll also be publishing at least twice as many reviews, news articles, and other awesome stuff like hands-on previews and interviews! Which is great news whether you’re an iOS game developer who might like us to give some coverage to your titles, or simply someone who regularly enjoys dropping by our site to catch up on our latest stories.
Anyhoo, without further ado, allow me to introduce our new colleagues to you guys. They are:
Clovis L. Dye, Jr., a 2006 Graduate of the Ohio State University, with a B.S. in Computer Information Science – has pretty much been an afficianado of games for as long as he can remember (seriously, some of his earliest memories involve holding an Atari 2600 joystick). He also expresses avid interests in the fields of art and writing, and last year published his first fantasy novel: “The Vagrant’s Tale“. He furthermore adores cats (preferably short-hairs) and Mountain Dew: Code Red. Finally, at least according to some of his friends, he serves as a massive resevoir of useless trivia knowledge about an endless variety of TV shows and movies.
Irene Fautsch, who mostly writes fiction, travels (or plots travel-related plots), reads, and enjoys games as art, educational tools, and well-crafted distractions alike. Irene was a narrative designer for “serious” (educational) games for two years and currently works as a general web content developer as well as an occasional contractor for narrative design stuff. She’s formatively influenced by SNES RPGs, Sierra point-and-click adventure games, and dorky historically-themed RTSes like Caesar and Age of Empires.
Sounds like they’ll both fit in quite nicely ’round these parts, eh folks? Clovis has already penned a couple of fantastic reviews for the site — Towers N’ Trolls HD and Little Labyrinths — while Irene made her debut on iFanzine just yesterday with an excellent critique of Harry’s House.
