Now there's no shortage of retro games on iPhone, but I'd hazard a guess none more so than Laddha Inc's latest, BrainTaire. A variation on Solitaire, played with marbles on a wooden board, this deceptively simple sounding distraction has been a firm favorite of gamers since as far back as the 17th Century! Which kind of makes PacMan look like a spring chicken, eh?

Portal Rush Review

Gamers hankering after some honest-to-goodness old school action, unfettered by fancy schmancy 3D visuals or ground-breaking gimmicks have been well served by Apple's iDevices of late. The latest addition to the App Store's ever-swelling ranks of retro flavored titles is After Dark Studios' arcade puzzler Portal Rush.

Psychoban Review

We're all used to those cutesy little puzzle games where you move unidentifiable colorful objects into other unidentifiable colorful objects to save a princess, get back a piece of cake, save a precious animal, or even just for the hell of it. In Psychoban, Dedalord gives a big "screw you" to the traditional "cute" block pushing game, and instead you'll find a much more atmospheric experience with a LEGITIMATE motive. But, is this newfound theme enough to make the game a classic, or is it only a ruse for more of the same thing?

Yes, they really are a cross between marbles and astronauts -- and getting these little'uns out of their most mysterious predicament constitutes one of this year's must-have iPhone puzzle games.

Toki Tori Review

Originally a hidden gem on the Gameboy Color, Toki Tori since then has evolved into a Wiiware and Appstore puzzle-platformer, rebuilt from the ground up. What we have here are more levels, enhanced graphics, new gameplay, and just about more of everything. So the question is: Was this bird meant to collect its eggs, or is it better off in a McDonalds Happy Meal?

Iced in Review

Most people may recognize Dennis Mengelt for his ever popular Boxed in series. Well, he's back again, this time with a different puzzle approach: Iced in. Upon entering the game, one is bound to see many differences from Dennis' usual Boxed in games.
